Military Vehicle Technician

Support the sustainment and upgrade of in-service military vehicles for the Australian Army, where you’ll have the opportunity to directly contribute to the installation and integration of key command, control and communications systems. Cleared Recruitment has partnered with a leading Australian engineering and integration company to support ongoing upgrades across Defence vehicle platforms.

Location: Brisbane, QLD
Duration: Long-term Defence sustainment project

Contract: Immediate until Dec 2026 with possible extensions.

Role Details:

• Electrical fitment and integration of Communication and vehicle systems to Defence standards.
• Installation of wiring harnesses, cabling, and electronic modules.
• Mounting of brackets, shelves and electrical hardware.
• Functional and continuity testing of completed fit-outs.
• Support quality assurance, documentation, and configuration management.
• Assist engineers and Defence staff during installation and validation phases.

What We Require:

• Trade-qualified Auto Electrician or Electrical Fitter with vehicle experience (desirable but not essential)
• Skilled in electrical installation, testing and fault finding or similar technical abilities.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret technical documentation.
• Work as part of a functional and tri-force team and closely engage with military personnel.
• Must hold an active or reinstatable Defence Security Clearance.
• Physically fit and able to work in workshop and field environments and lift weight above 10kg as required.
